Nomad Tech’s products and solutions are also targeted to other sectors such as energy, transports, infrastructure, among others. On the core of the Nomad Tech’s activities resides the development of the ROCM - Remote Online Condition Monitoring solution, which has a strong similarity with the tasks in the proposal, due to the fact that both are systems with great focus on data management optimisation and integration with external systems; it has been developed by Nomad Tech in partnership with the Portuguese Railways maintenance company, EMEF (Empresa de Manutenção de Equipamento Ferroviário) since 1999. The ROCM solution is a user friendly tool that provides train operator companies (TOCs) and rolling stock maintenance companies with a real time, fleet wide view, of the trains, systems and equipment’s performance in the field. These enhanced and in-depth technologies allow the increase of the proactivity in managing, developing and optimizing of both the operational and maintenance business areas. Using the Nomad Tech Remote Online Condition Monitoring (ROCM) solutions, the existing train systems diagnostic data and variables can be remotely gathered from the train to shore, where the central shore application has powerful and user configurable ways for storing, selecting, processing (fault finding tasks – rules), presenting, and reporting on the acquired data.
